Taken with my grandfather's Canon AE-1
Photography became part of my life once I started taking Black and White 35mm Film photographs with my grandfather’s Canon AE-1. This camera was a great introduction for me into the world of photography, because of the raw imagery it captures with its basic controls and features. Armed with basic knowledge of composition, exposure, and how to develop B&W images, I used the older camera throughout high school and into my college years at the University of Cincinnati.
I have been fortunate enough to travel fairly often during college due to various conventions and conferences, so I tried to take advantage of being in these different places around the country and took photographs whenever I could.

I have since upgraded to a Canon EOS 7D DSLR, which has begun to expand my world of photography, allowing me to explore different styles and methods in order to show the world as I see it. I still love to use the AE-1 though, and hope that it will last me for years to come.
Below are several links to various sets of images on my Flickr page, where I store most of my images. Feel free to explore through these sets, and to check back regularly, as I try to keep the page updated with pictures from my travels and adventures!
